The Physical Reality: Why cm/360 is King
While eDPI is excellent for shorthand comparisons within a single game, it fails across the broader gaming landscape. 800 eDPI in CS2 is vastly different from 800 eDPI in Overwatch 2. To truly understand your setup, you need to measure the physical distance your mouse travels on your pad to achieve a full rotation.

Scaling Your Mousepad Real Estate
If you have a standard 45cm Large mousepad, and your cm/360 is 60cm, you physically cannot perform a full rotation without lifting your mouse. This leads to awkward reset movements in the middle of gunfights. High-level players often tune their cm/360 so that they can comfortably perform a 180-degree turn from the center of their pad to either edge.
